Aikido : Distance Learning Program

For the last several years Bushikan Aikido has released a new instructional video every two weeks.

These videos are a tool for Bushikan affiliates and clubs to develop their Aikido rapidly. The remote practitioners practice the techniques and provide quick videos back to Sensei for review, feedback and if necessary, additional instruction. This interactive learning program is the fastest way to becoming proficient in Bushikan Aikido without actually being on the mat with us. The information in this program is not available anywhere else. It is much like studying directly under Sensei where he will teach the intricacies of what makes Bushikan Aikido unique.

It is best described as a virtual dojo. There will always be a video lesson available to view. Each lesson can be studied and viewed for two weeks when a new lesson will replace it.

Until now, it has only been available to our affiliates.

However, word has gotten out and many have contacted us for access to these videos. Many do not have a dojo or means to start a club, and are just looking for access to improve their own Aikido or are looking for a resource. We have heard your requests and are creating a program for you!

The Distance Learning Program Instructional videos are now available from two different programs, The Witness program and the Affilate program. Keep reading to find out more!

The affiliate program

Welcome to the family.

Affiliate members have it good. Not only to they get access to all the Bushikan resources, internal website, videos, handbooks and archives, they can test for rank, make requests for techniques, post questions directly to Sensei and receive individualized instruction. They can request seminars, teaching appearances and guest instructor spots.

On top of all that they get the real value of the Distance Learning Program. If you send a feedback video, Sensei will review it and get back to you. This means you can be anywhere in the world and still be taught by the head of Bushikan Aikido.

This program does require you to be an approved affiliate. In short it means you will be required to have a safe place to practice, insurance and at least one partner, and of course, be accepted by the Bushikan Aikido Kai. (Find out how to become an accepted affiliate here) As a member you will have full access to the Distance Learning Program including all feedback videos and additional instruction videos. There will always be a video available to review and study which will be replaced with a new instructional video every two weeks.

Each video is approximately twenty to thirty minutes long and can include the comprehensive break down of a single technique or sessions of several techniques.

For this program you will be required to have a PayPal, a YouTube and an active email account. The cost is $40 USD per calendar month.
